The disaster relief organisations are providing help to the people undergone with this disaster and became vulnerable in the time of need. However, it’s the first case where people whether rich or poor becomes vulnerable and calls for help. That’s why apart from imparting social and economic help to the poor, they have also taken their initiative for this and working as a disaster relief organisations. Here, they are working their best and providing the utmost care to the people. This ethical step towards their help is not more than any ray of hope in the darkness they are at that time. Similarly, we people too should come forward for their moral support and pull out from their sufferings of those times.
Around millions of people gets affected during these calamities and left people traumatised by the death of the family, relatives and friends, loss of livelihood, food & water famine and so many vulnerabilities. The impact is quite high and increased dramatically in the last years too. In fact, it is expecting that this trend will rise in the coming years. Therefore, it has become vital to figure out the solution and measures to deal with this problem and for this disaster relief organisation like Roshan Proactive Humanitarian Program has come forward to deal with this trouble effectively.
Disaster Situation in Pakistan: As of June, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported that the floods have resulted in 1200 deaths. More than 25,469 households have been affected, of which 25% are in Punjab. More than 29,067 houses have been partially damaged, and another 7,402 houses have been fully damaged. The Punjab government has declared 03 districts of the province as calamity-hit areas in view of casualties and losses to businesses and infrastructure by recent torrential rains and floods. An official notification issued by the office of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority the 03 districts DG Khan, Rajanpur & Miawali calamity-hit areas.

Thousands of families from South Punjab like DG Khan, Rajanpur, Miawali were facilitated through this intervention. tents along with NFIs were provided to all families. Communities appreciated the efforts of RPHP team and shared that they are extremely grateful for all the contribution. Family members especially females and children shared that after the flood catastrophe they were living under open sky however the tents and the basic requirements will ensure our protection and help us to rehabilitate our lives after the incident.
